On the morning of October 18, information from the office of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province said that Mr. Dao Quang Khai - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province had just had an inspection and working session on the implementation of the investment project to build a centralized domestic waste treatment area in Yen Dung ward.
The Yen Dung ward centralized waste treatment project has been implemented since 2016; compensation and site clearance work has been completed with a total area of 6.4 hectares.
All compensation and support for site clearance has been paid and the entire clean site has been handed over to the People's Committee of Yen Dung district (old) to implement the project.
In 2024, Bac Giang Green Energy Environment Joint Stock Company was temporarily assigned by the People's Committee of Yen Dung district (old) to temporarily manage the local centralized waste treatment area.
On that basis, the Company has deployed the installation and put into trial operation of a domestic waste treatment plant applying secondary non-emission heat decomposition technology - a completely new technology researched and developed by the enterprise itself.
The total designed capacity of the waste treatment plant's operation line is about 200-280 tons/day.
At the meeting, delegates discussed difficulties and problems in implementing land lease and changing land use purposes according to regulations.
At the same time, it is recommended that departments and branches have specific instructions on land lease and conversion of land use purposes according to regulations, in order to soon resolve the issue for Asian Bac Giang Green Energy Environment Joint Stock Company to operate effectively.
After inspecting the practice and listening to representatives of departments and branches speaking, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dao Quang Khai requested Yen Dung ward to focus on reviewing and receiving the settled amount of documents, to continue to complete the contents to submit to the Department of Agriculture and Environment for requesting to change the land use purpose for the project.
The Provincial Land Fund Development Center will develop a short-term land lease plan for Asian Bac Giang Green Energy Environment Joint Stock Company; at the same time, organize meetings with departments, branches and sectors to agree on unit prices and public assets.
Asian Bac Giang Green Energy Environment Joint Stock Company coordinates with relevant agencies and units to focus on reviewing and accelerating the completion of procedures on land, environment, fire prevention and fighting, science and technology and waste treatment orders, ensuring the project operates stably, safely and in accordance with regulations.
Every day, Bac Ninh province generates thousands of tons of household waste and hundreds of tons of industrial waste.
Faced with this situation, the province has built incinerators to urgently treat domestic waste, invested in high-energy solid waste treatment areas in the area.
Bac Ninh province currently has 4 solid waste treatment plants for energy generation in the districts (old): Que Vo, Thuan Thanh and Luong Tai with a total capacity of about 1,800 tons/day and night.
Up to now, the plants have been put into operation, contributing to waste treatment in localities in the province.
