Determined to shorten construction time
According to Project Management Board 7, Ministry of Transport, the total volume of the Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway project has reached 82% of the construction value according to the contract. The project is expected to be completed on April 30, 2025 - 8 months ahead of schedule.
During the construction of the Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway, the investor and contractor mobilized maximum human and material resources to stay at the construction site.
As for the mountain at Km367 (in Dien Khanh district), it is assessed to have complex geology, so construction and lowering the height takes a lot of time and effort.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dong - manager of the Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway construction site (Son Hai Group) said that over the past year, the contractor has been working in 3 shifts, 4 teams, focusing on the mountain.
Motorized vehicles and mines were mobilized to reduce the mountain height to about 60m. The location of the mountain has now been processed, the highway surface is smooth and convenient.
At the end of the year, the Central provinces experienced prolonged rain. At the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway construction site, hundreds of officers, engineers and workers were mobilized to construct the expressway.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh - a worker on the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway - assessed that the prolonged heavy rain made the construction difficult. However, the workers encouraged each other to overcome the difficulties and strive to complete the given schedule.
Resolving difficulties in site clearance
To carry out the peak period of 500 days and nights to complete 3,000km of expressway, the investor and contractor of Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway mobilized nearly 4,200 personnel and 1,700 machines and equipment, implementing "3 shifts" on the entire route.
Due to the urgent project progress requirement of opening the tunnel by April 30, 2025 and completing the project in 2025 as launched by the Prime Minister, the contractor organized the construction in a rolling manner, spraying concrete mortar, installing waterproofing and reinforcing the tunnel shell as the tunnel was dug.
Overcoming all adverse weather conditions, the Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon Component Project construction site is rushing to complete the final items.
In package 12-XL, Truong Thinh Group is in charge of nearly 6km (from Km64+220 - Km70+091). This unit said that when the site was handed over, the unit "started" to build the public road.
Mr. Hoang Gia Dai - Chief Executive Officer of Truong Thinh Group - said that the unit has also increased machinery, mobilizing nearly 70 machines, equipment and hundreds of workers to the construction site to construct the project. Up to now, the progress has reached about 51%.
"Recently, the unit has been focusing resources on filling the roadbed, basically stabilizing the foundation. The unit has prepared materials for grading the stone, however, over the past 20 days, due to continuous rain, the unit has not been able to fill the soil to construct the next sections" - Mr. Dai said.
In this package, Son Hai Group is in charge of 22km (from Km 23+500 - Km 45+400). Although it is the first unit to lay asphalt on the entire project and is the leading unit in terms of progress. However, worries are still present on the faces of the unit's commanders. Because for many days, nearly 300 workers and officers of the unit have had to temporarily stop.
"Although the progress is guaranteed as required, we cannot be subjective or negligent. The unit is making efforts and focusing resources to complete its construction volume by mid-2025," said a representative of Son Hai Group.
