Nghe An - Heavy rain after storm No. 6 caused many hamlets outside the dike in Hung Nguyen Nam commune to be deeply flooded, damaged summer-autumn rice, and risked cutting.

On August 30, information from the leader of Hung Nguyen Nam commune (Nghe An) said that they are urgently implementing flood prevention measures in the area.

After storm No. 6 made landfall, from the evening of August 29 to the morning of August 30, heavy rain combined with floodwater from upstream caused many hamlets outside the dike in Hung Nguyen Nam commune to be deeply flooded, some roads were at risk of being cut off, and most of the summer-autumn rice area was submerged in water.

People urgently move livestock out of the danger zone. Inter-village and inter-commune roads were covered with water, so authorities had to erect barriers and put up warning signs "danger, prohibiting people and vehicles from passing".

The leaders of Hung Nguyen Nam commune and representatives of departments and branches directly inspected the scene and directed the response.

The commune has arranged forces to be on duty 24/7 to propagate and remind people to be ready to relocate when there is an order; at the same time, urgently drain the water to save the remaining rice, crops and seafood areas.
