On August 30, the People's Committee of Kim Tan commune, Thanh Hoa province, said that by noon of the same day, the water level of the Buoi River had receded to 10.02m, 0.02m higher than the warning level I.

After the water receded, the locality continued to mobilize local forces including police, militia, civil servants, union members, mass organizations and health stations in flooded areas to support people in cleaning their houses, cleaning the environment, and treating domestic water after the flood.
Kim Tan commune has also allocated funds mobilized on the spot to buy essential necessities, promptly supporting people in Van Luong village, the old Thanh Tien commune (the area isolated by floodwaters for the fourth consecutive day).

"Due to widespread flooding, many households in many villages were flooded, so the locality mobilized all resources, coordinated with relevant agencies to urgently deploy response work. Immediately after the floodwaters receded, the locality immediately mobilized forces to support people in cleaning up and overcoming the consequences" - a representative of Kim Tan Commune People's Committee informed.
By the afternoon of August 30, in parallel with supporting people to overcome the consequences of floods from storm No. 5, Kim Tan commune is also implementing measures to respond to storm No. 6.

The Commune Civil Defense Command mobilized militia forces and materials and means to reinforce the landslide section of the dike on the plains about 130m long (in Tien Thanh village, the old Thach Dinh commune), to ensure safety against the complicated storm No. 6.
