HCMC - The authorities have taken samples and are verifying the chemical incident that flowed with the rain, creating white foam in Vung Tau.

On July 27, Vung Tau Ward Police and a number of functional units were present at Con Heo hill (near Nghinh Phong cape) to record and verify the chemical leak, mixed with rainwater flowing into residential areas.

Previously, after a heavy rain in the evening of the same day, people living at the entrance to Con Heo hill (Vung Tau ward, Ho Chi Minh City) discovered that the rainwater flowing down the slope from Con Heo hill had a lot of white foam, even emerging into rocks.

Following the water flow up the hilltop, 10 large plastic bins were discovered. In some containers, there was no cover, so the rainwater entered the container and was discharged from the valve, joining the water flowing down below, causing white foam.

People in the area said that these boxes were made by a volunteer group, brought to the hills, and contained water to water newly planted trees to green the hills, which the group voluntarily carried out.

Currently, the authorities have taken wastewater samples for testing and are conducting verification to clarify and resolve the case according to regulations.
