On November 28, according to the Department of Transport of Lam Dong province, there are currently 3 units specializing in the business of transporting tourists by car with a total of 70 vehicles. Of these, 2 units have large-capacity vehicles for inter-provincial and intra-provincial passenger transport; 1 unit has 51 7-seat vehicles specializing in transporting tourists to climb mountains at Lang Biang Tourist Area.
The vehicles used are new models, the drivers are well-trained, ensuring quality service. Contract vehicles, taxis and buses also meet the travel needs from the airport and between tourist destinations.
The pilot project of 4-wheel motor vehicles and 2-storey open-top vehicles has brought new tourism products, serving sightseeing in the center of Da Lat.
Regarding air routes, Lien Khuong Airport currently operates 8 domestic routes and some international routes (Korea), welcoming about 2 million passengers each year.
However, the province’s transportation system still has limitations such as lack of parking, weak inter-regional connections and a small number of high-quality vehicles. The unprofessional service of some drivers also needs to be improved...
Currently, Lam Dong province has been implementing major projects such as Tan Phu - Lien Khuong Expressway, upgrading Lien Khuong Airport and strengthening transport management and inspection.
This will be an important stepping stone for Lam Dong to develop sustainable tourism and improve the quality of transportation services.
