Foreign passenger bus loses brakes, crashes into cliff at Khanh Le pass

Khanh Hoa - While traveling on Khanh Le Pass, a 29-seat passenger van lost its brakes and crashed into a cliff at Khanh Le Pass.

On the afternoon of November 28, Mr. Pham Ngoc Huu - Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Thai commune, Khanh Vinh district confirmed the incident of a 29-seat passenger bus losing its brakes and crashing into a cliff at Khanh Le pass.

The incident occurred at around 11:30 am the same day. The accident site was at Km60+500 Khanh Le Pass, in Son Thai Commune.

Initial information, when the passenger bus was going downhill from Da Lat (Lam Dong) to Nha Trang, there was dense fog, obstructing visibility. Although the bus was going slowly, the braking system suddenly failed and did not work. This situation forced the driver to drive the vehicle into the cliff to avoid the vehicle falling into the abyss.

Immediately after the incident, the authorities were present at the scene to assist and take the injured person in the car to the Khanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital for emergency treatment.

It is known that the above mentioned group of buses had 21 people, including a tour guide and a driver. The rest were Chinese tourists.

Among the injured foreign tourists, two people suffered serious injuries, the rest had minor injuries and were in stable condition.
