On the afternoon of September 22, according to information from the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department (PCCC) and Rescue and Search and Rescue (CNCH), Khanh Hoa Provincial Police, after many hours of firefighting efforts, the authorities were able to control the fire that broke out from a truck carrying tons of cowhide on Khanh Le Pass.
Previously, at around 1:00 a.m. on September 22, on National Highway 27C, through Son Thai commune, Khanh Vinh district, a truck with license plate 90C-135.31 driven by driver Do Van T (born in 1989, residing in Thieu Hoa district, Thanh Hoa province) was traveling on Khanh Le pass in the direction of Da Lat - Nha Trang when the rear of the vehicle caught fire.
Discovering smoke coming from the rear of the car, driver T drove the car to the side of the road and opened the door to get out and call for help from the authorities.
Upon receiving the news, the leaders of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department immediately mobilized forces and mobile vehicles to the scene to coordinate with Khanh Vinh District Police, Son Thai Commune Police, and Son Thai Commune Civil Defense to carry out fire fighting plans.
By 3:40 a.m. the same day, the fire was completely extinguished. However, 2/3 of the truck and its cargo were burned in the fire.
