Durian container truck catches fire on Ho Chi Minh road

Quang Tri - While traveling on the Ho Chi Minh road, a truck pulling a trailer carrying 20 tons of durian suddenly had a tire burst and caught fire.

On July 22, information from Quang Tri Provincial Police said that a fire had just occurred in the area when a truck carrying goods was traveling on the eastern Ho Chi Minh road.

According to initial information, at about 3:00 am on the same day, a truck with license plate 15F-020. XX pulling a trailer with license plate 15RM-010. XX driven by driver Tran Quang Thong (born in 1977, residing in Hong Bang ward, Hai Phong city) was traveling in the South – North direction.

When the car reached Km1045+050 (belonging to Vinh Khe village, Ben Quan commune, Quang Tri province), it suddenly encountered a tire burst. After that, a fire appeared and quickly broke out, spreading to the container.

It is known that at the time of the fire, the car was transporting about 20 tons of durian packed in carton boxes.

Immediately after receiving the news, Ben Quan Commune Police coordinated with professional units under Quang Tri Provincial Police and people to fight the fire and unload goods out of the fire area to minimize damage.

Thanks to timely support, about 90% of the goods on the truck were taken out.
