HCMC - A container truck suddenly overturned while cornering onto the overpass at Station 2 (HCMC). The cargo box blocked almost the entire lane, causing traffic congestion.

At around 11am on December 9, a container truck was traveling on Hanoi Highway from Thu Duc intersection to Suoi Tien area. While clinging to the overpass at station 2 (in Tang Nhon Phu ward, Ho Chi Minh City), this vehicle suddenly overturned.

The overturned caused the cargo box to hit the slope and block almost the entire lane, causing serious traffic congestion on Hanoi Highway. The congestion lasted about 500 m, many vehicles had to move slowly and inching forward.

Immediately after the incident, the authorities quickly arrived at the scene, deployed traffic diversion and investigated the cause of the accident.

The work of pulling and repairing vehicles is being urgently carried out to soon relieve congestion on this main route.

It is known that the station 2 overpass area often has vehicles overturned due to sharp turns when climbing the overpass, especially for vehicles with high load capacity, which poses a high risk of traffic insecurity.
