Circus" with mini electric cars
From late afternoon to late night, a spontaneous mini electric car rental point appeared in the park area by the Nhat Le River (belonging to Dong Hoi ward, Quang Tri province). Cars with eye-catching designs, with flashing LED lights, emitting loud sounds attract many children to participate.
Many parents go with their children, but there are also many cases where children hire and drive vehicles without supervision. In crowded pedestrian spaces, many children speed, swerve, and even perform dangerous movements such as steering suddenly, turning suddenly, spinning around, and even bowing their heads.

The excitement of young children with this speed game is understandable. However, behind it is the risk of accidents. Many vehicles have a rudimentary design, and children participating do not have protective gear. Meanwhile, the operating mechanism is similar to scooters, and can accelerate quickly as the driver wants.

This is what makes young children who do not yet have the skills to handle situations easily fall into a state of loss of control when encountering surprises. When the car accelerates quickly, just a small collision can lead to unpredictable consequences.

Residents living near the park area said that electric cars used to run everywhere in the park. Now there are barriers and cars running in that area, but it also hides many dangers because there are many people traveling, and cars are running at high speed.
Spontaneous, uncontrolled business

Not only potential safety risks, mini electric car rental activities here are also chaotic. Rental points do not have specific price lists, the price completely depends on each business person.

A car rental person revealed that they could charge 30,000 VND for 30 minutes, or 35,000 or 40,000 VND for that amount of time.

When asked about safety, the car rental provider affirmed that the car is very solid. "If it breaks, just weld it, make it for money first" - the man renting a car in the park by the Nhat Le River said.
Investigations show that vehicles that have not been quality inspected and are not equipped with protective equipment are still rented daily.

Answering Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Tran Thien Van - Head of the Electricity and Water Protection Team of Dong Hoi Green Park Center said that the situation of renting electric vehicles operating in the park has been going on for a long time. The Center has propagated and reminded business households to pay attention to safety factors.
In the coming time, we will coordinate with departments and branches of the ward to strengthen propaganda and guidance for business households. There needs to be a unit to manage this type, control vehicles and limit vehicle speed to ensure safety for children," Mr. Van said.
Reality shows that children's need for fun and entertainment is completely legitimate. However, if not organized and managed strictly, seemingly harmless activities such as mini electric cars can become a potential danger.
