On November 4, the People's Committee of Le Thuy district (Quang Binh province) announced that vehicles parking on bridges to avoid floods will affect traffic.
During the recent floods caused by storm No. 6 in Le Thuy district, many cars and motorbikes of agencies, units, and people in communes and towns came to bridges such as Kien Giang, Phong Lien, and Phong Xuan to park and avoid flooding.
The fact that many vehicles are parked at the same time has affected the traffic of vehicles performing emergency tasks as well as rescue and support people in flood response and recovery work.
To ensure smooth traffic during rescue missions and other activities when passing through the above bridges during the upcoming flood season, the People's Committee of Le Thuy district has sent a notice to local units.
Le Thuy District People's Committee requested the District Police to be responsible for arranging forces to guide and direct traffic from the beginning when floods occur, ensuring smooth traffic.
Communes and towns announce on loudspeaker systems to propagate and mobilize people and vehicle owners to proactively move to highlands and national highways to limit property damage when floods occur. At the same time, create conditions for task forces to successfully complete assigned tasks.
The Department of Economics and Infrastructure monitors, urges, and coordinates the implementation of traffic safety during floods.
