The fire occurred at 4:45 am on February 5, on the bypass road in Dong Ha ward, Quang Tri province.

At the above time, a passenger car with license plate 50E-200. xx driven by Mr. N.H. T (born 1978, residing in Ho Chi Minh City), running North - South, when reaching Dong Ha ward, stopped on the side of the road for passengers to go to the toilet.

At this time, the driver suddenly discovered a fire rising from the rear of the car, so he and the assistant driver quickly evacuated passengers and made efforts to control the fire. At the time of the incident, there were 9 people on the passenger car, no one was injured.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police force of Quang Tri Provincial Police were present to put out the fire.

By 7 am on the same day, the fire was extinguished, the passenger car was heavily damaged, causing damage of about 100 million VND.

Passengers were then taken to another car to continue their journey. The cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified.
