Quang Tri - Traffic police handled the driver of a passenger bus driving in the wrong direction on National Highway 1A after receiving feedback from the people.

On December 10, the Traffic Police Department of Quang Tri Province Police said that it had just verified and handled the case of a passenger bus driving in the wrong direction on National Highway 1A after receiving feedback from people via a hotline from the Traffic Police Department.

At about 9:25 a.m. the same day, at Km669+900 National Highway 1A in Quang Ninh commune, people recorded the scene of a T.D passenger bus with license plate 73B-006.xx driving in the wrong direction in an area with a "No entry" sign using a dashcam and sent it to the authorities.

Through verification, the driver was Mr. C.X.L (born in 1979, residing in Tuyen Hoa commune, Quang Tri province), driving on the Quang Tri - Da Nang route. Working with the authorities, Mr. L admitted to driving in the wrong direction.

The Traffic Police Department of Quang Tri Province Police has drawn up a record of the act of "Driving a passenger car in the wrong direction on a road with a sign prohibiting going in the wrong direction".

The driver is expected to be fined VND19 million and have 4 points deducted from his driver's license.

The authorities acknowledge the coordination of the people in promptly reporting to ensure traffic order and safety in the area.
