On December 6, Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6 (Department 6, Traffic Police Department) said that it had drawn up a record of violation against the driver driving in the wrong direction on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway.
The violation occurred on the evening of November 25 at Km229 of the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway through Lam Dong province.
The violation occurred at 10:45 p.m. on November 25 at Km229, passing through Lam Dong province. At that time, the car with license plate 86C-115.97 driven by driver H.D.T.X (born in 1994, residing in Lam Dong province) was driving in the wrong direction on the highway, endangering the vehicles in circulation.
Many drivers who detected it from a distance promptly steered to avoid the collision. A car's dashcam recorded the entire incident and people sent a report to the phone number of the Director of the Traffic Police Department.
After receiving the information, the Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6 verified and made a record of the violation according to Point d, Clause 11, Article 6 of Decree 168/2024/ND-CP. At the meeting, driver H.D.T.X admitted his mistake.
For driving in the wrong direction on the highway, the driver will be fined from 30 - 40 million VND and have 10 points deducted from the driving license.
