On the morning of June 19, information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of Quang Tri Provincial Police said that the unit's forces had just made a record of administrative violations against the driver and owner of a passenger car running the Hue - Vientiane route for the act of carrying more people than prescribed.
Previously, on the morning of June 18, at Km18 on National Highway 9 (section passing through Cam Lo commune, Quang Tri province), the patrol and control team of Dakrong Traffic Police Station (Quang Tri Provincial Police Traffic Police Department) discovered a passenger car with license plate 75E-007. XX with suspicious signs, so they signaled to stop the vehicle for inspection.
Through inspection, functional forces discovered that this sleeper bus was running a fixed route from Hue to Vientiane (Laos) but was crammed, carrying more people than prescribed (51 people out of a total of 46 people allowed to be carried).
The patrol and control team made a record of administrative violation against the driver, Mr. T.V. H (residing in Loc An commune, Hue city) for the violation of "carrying more people than the permitted number of people of the vehicle".
At the same time, the vehicle owner of the passenger car, Transport Service Cooperative (HTX) T.D (address in Thuy Xuan ward, Hue city), was also recorded for administrative violations with the offense: "handing over the vehicle to a worker to control and commit the violation specified in Clause 4, Article 20", specified in Clause 6, Article 32 of Decree 168/2024/ND-CP.
For the above violations, drivers and vehicle owners were fined a total of 37.5 million VND.
