On July 8, Quang Tri Provincial Police confirmed that professional units are urgently investigating and clarifying the cause of a serious traffic accident that just occurred in the area, killing 3 people.
Previously, at 12:30 pm on the same day, a truck with license plate 89C-031. XX was traveling on National Highway 9 in the direction from Khe Sanh commune to Cam Lo commune.
At this time, there were 3 people on the truck, and the identity of the vehicle driver has not yet been determined.
When moving to Km 56+300 National Highway 9 (belonging to Dakrong commune, Quang Tri province), the truck lost control, crashed strongly into the guardrail system on the right side of the road and then overturned on the sidewalk in the direction of movement.
At the scene, the front of the truck was strongly impacted by the iron bars of the guardrail wall, leading to deformation.
Immediately after receiving the information, functional forces immediately arrived at the scene to deploy rescue and relief work.
Through inspection in the car cabin, functional forces discovered 2 people who died on the spot, including: Ms. H.T. H (born in 1976, residing in former Yen My district, Hung Yen province) and Mr. L.V. Q (born in 2000, residing in Quang Ninh province).
The remaining victim, Mr. T.V. H (born in 1970, residing in the old Yen My district, Hung Yen province), was seriously injured and was quickly taken to the hospital for emergency treatment by medical forces and people. However, due to his severe injuries, Mr. H also died later.
The police agency is continuing to examine the scene and analyze data to clarify the cause of the self-caused accident mentioned above.
