At around 1:00 p.m. on December 17, a 7-seat car with license plate 71A-038.32 driven by Mr. H.V.T (30 years old, residing in Phu Ngai Hamlet, Phu An Hoa Commune, Chau Thanh District, Ben Tre Province), carrying Mr. N.T.T (46 years old, residing in Hamlet 2, Phu Thuan Commune, Ben Tre City, Ben Tre Province), was traveling on National Highway N2 from the West to Ho Chi Minh City.
When reaching the section belonging to Tan Chanh B hamlet, Nhon Ninh commune, Tan Thanh district (Long An province), the car suddenly collided with a truck with license plate 50H-249.06 driven by driver L.V.C (26 years old, residing in ward 6, Cao Lanh city, Dong Thap province), traveling in the opposite direction.
The strong collision caused the driver of the 7-seat car H.V.T to die on the way to the emergency room; Mr. T - the passenger in the same car - suffered a broken left leg and is being treated at Long An hospital.
At the scene, two vehicles were badly damaged, with debris scattered on the road.
Upon receiving the news, the Traffic Police of Tan Thanh District Police arrived at the scene, coordinated with functional forces to regulate traffic, and collect information to serve the investigation.
