Previously, on July 29, the units organized forces to transport and detonate 1 MK-81 bomb discovered in Nam Ha commune and 1 M117 bomb discovered in Lang Biang - Da Lat ward. The process of organizing the transportation and detonation of the above 3 bombs was carried out correctly and in accordance with the prescribed technical procedures, ensuring absolute safety for people and equipment.

MK-81 and M117 bombs are bombs used by the US military during the Vietnam War. These types of bombs contain powerful explosives that can cause widespread destruction. The bombs left over from the war were mostly discovered by people during the farming and production process and reported to local authorities.
Upon receiving the information, the Provincial Military Command directed the engineering force to urgently inspect and develop a handling plan.
Handling bombs and mines left over from the war not only ensures the safety of people and land clearance for socio-economic development, but also contributes significantly to achieving sustainable development goals.
