On June 10, the PeaceTrees VietNam Quang Binh Project said that it had just handed over the area that had been cleared at Long Dai II ferry terminal, in Long Dai village, Hien Ninh commune, Quang Ninh district.
Long Dai II ferry terminal was once a vital traffic hot spot on the Ho Chi Minh trail during the war, so it suffered fierce damage. The level of bomb and mine pollution here is considered very high, with many explosives having been treated by previous clearing organizations.

Receiving an official dispatch requesting support from the Office of the People's Committee of Quang Binh Province and the Quang Binh Provincial Youth Union, PeaceTrees VietNam Quang Binh quickly deployed the MTT2 Multi-purpose Handling Team to carry out the clearance work.
In the first 6 days, the technicians found and safely treated 5 dangerous explosives, including 3 cluster bombs, 1 mortar bullet and 1 rocket. All were disabled according to the correct procedure, ensuring absolute safety for the people.
After the area is cleared of bombs and mines, the Quang Binh Provincial Youth Union will carry out restoration, repair and expand the scale of the Historical Site.
