Previously, at Ru Cua cemetery, in Huu Bang village, Huong Son commune, people discovered a household that had arbitrarily poured soil, planted concrete stakes, stretched barbed wire and built fake graves even though there were no dead people to be buried in order to occupy cemetery land.
Immediately after receiving people's feedback, Huong Son Commune People's Committee directed the Economic Department to inspect the scene and work directly with related households.
Functional forces have made a record, requesting Mr. D. V. P's household (residing in Huu Bang village) to dismantle the construction, relocate, level and restore the ground in accordance with regulations.
Previously, in mid-June 2026, Lao Dong Newspaper reflected the situation of people in some localities in Ha Tinh arbitrarily building fences and encroaching on cemetery land through the article "The alarming situation of building and encroaching on cemetery land in Ha Tinh".
The article mentions the reality at many cemeteries, many families and clans arbitrarily build brick walls, encroach on cemetery land with the aim of saving it for later burial when someone dies. In the encroached land plots, there are only a few scattered graves, and there are also land plots without a single grave.
Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee has also directed to strengthen the strict management of cemetery land, to prevent the situation of land encroachment, arbitrary change of land use purpose, arbitrary expansion of cemeteries or construction of graves and mausoleums not in accordance with regulations.
Promptly detect violations; organize inspections, prepare dossiers and strictly handle them according to their authority or report to competent authorities for consideration and handling according to regulations.
