On December 17, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Dang Van Hung - Principal of Nong Cong 2 High School (Nong Cong District, Thanh Hoa Province) said that up to now, the school has not yet received notification of the investigation results from Nong Cong District Police, regarding the incident in which a group of female students from the school participated in beating up a friend.
“Through investigation, the school also knows that the police have initiated a case and prosecuted the female students involved in beating their friend. However, how to handle these cases is under the authority of law enforcement agencies. When there is a notice, the school will follow it,” Mr. Hung informed.
According to Mr. Hung, the school had previously suspended the group of female students for 2 weeks (from November 19 to December 2). As of now (December 17), the female students are still attending school as usual.
Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, according to verification by Nong Cong 2 High School (in Nong Cong District, Thanh Hoa Province), on October 4, a female student of class 10A6, while returning from school, saw a female student of class 10A5 walking behind her talking and laughing with another friend. The female student of class 10A6 thought that her friend was talking badly about her, leading to an argument. On the afternoon of October 5, when school was out, the two female students continued to argue and quarrel. Afterwards, the school security broke up the fight and all the students went home, but when they reached Tan Phuc commune, a fight broke out.
As a result, an 11th grade female student (when she intervened to stop a group of friends from fighting) was beaten up and seriously injured (broken cervical vertebrae), and had to be transferred to Viet Duc Hospital for treatment. After a period of treatment, the female student was taken home by her family for further monitoring and physical therapy. The injury assessment result was 23%.
According to Mr. Le Van Thanh (father of the beaten female student), after more than 2 months of the incident, his daughter's health is still weak, her neck is still stiff, and she cannot walk normally. Also because of her poor health, she had to take too long off school, so she had to reserve her results and take a year off.
Regarding the above incident, recently, the Investigation Police Agency of Nong Cong District Police has issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute 6 female students for the act of "intentionally causing injury".
The female students prosecuted include: Nguyen Thi Ngoc A (17 years old, residing in Gia Mai village, Te Thang commune); Nguyen Thi G (17 years old, residing in Thai Son village, Tan Phuc commune); Hoang Thi Huyen Tr (17 years old, residing in Dinh Kim village, Tan Phuc commune); Nguyen Thi A (16 years old, residing in Hoi Cu village, Hoang Son commune); Le Phuong D (16 years old, residing in Phu Thanh village, Trung Chinh commune); Vu Le Tr (17 years old, residing in Tho Nam village, Te Thang commune, Nong Cong district).
Among the 6 defendants prosecuted, there are 2 students from Nong Cong High School and 4 students from Nong Cong 2 High School.
