On January 10, a delegation from the Naval Region 5 Command and delegates from provinces, cities, businesses and units arrived at Tho Chu Island (Tho Chau Special Zone, An Giang province).


Tho Chu Island is the first stop in the journey to visit and wish Tet to soldiers and people of Naval Region 5 and units on islands in the Southwest sea of the Fatherland.

Arriving at Tho Chu Island, the delegation offered incense at Tho Chau Temple, Tho Chau Special Zone, An Giang province to offer incense to commemorate the beloved spirit of President Ho Chi Minh and the heroes and martyrs - loyal and brave children of the motherland of Vietnam who fought and sacrificed in the offensive to liberate and protect Tho Chu Island and the souls of our innocent compatriots killed by the Khmer Rouge army.



After offering incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh, the delegation got into the car to move to Radar Station 610 to visit and wish Tet to officers and soldiers.
Speaking at the working session, on behalf of the working delegation, Mr. Bui Minh Hai - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province, acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and achievements of the army and people of Tho Chu island in socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security.

Mr. Bui Minh Hai wished officers, soldiers, people and forces on the island to continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, overcome difficulties, feel secure in living, working, and building an increasingly developed special zone, contributing to firmly protecting the sacred sea and island sovereignty of the Fatherland.
On behalf of Radar Station 610, Captain Le Sy Thang - Head of Radar Station 610 was moved to receive the attention of leaders and people in the country.

In the past time, officers and soldiers of the radar station have always received the leadership and direction of the Party Committee and commanders at all levels; facilities and equipment are increasingly modern. Especially the care, love and protection of the people on the island in particular and people across the country in general. This is a great source of encouragement and motivation for soldiers, people and forces on the island" - Captain Le Sy Thang emphasized.
On behalf of officers and soldiers of the Station, Captain Le Sy Thang promised that Radar Station 610 will always be united and unified to proactively overcome all difficulties and excellently complete assigned tasks, together with forces in the area to closely coordinate and firmly protect the sacred sea and island sovereignty of the Fatherland.
