The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has just sent a document to the People's Committees of coastal provinces and cities from Quang Ninh to Lam Dong on proactively responding to the tropical depression near the East Sea.
The document clearly stated that on the morning of October 1, the low pressure area in the sea east of Luzon Island (Philippines) strengthened into a tropical depression. At 10:00 on October 1, 2025, the center of the tropical depression was at about 14.5 degrees north latitude, 131.4 degrees east longitude; the strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression was at level 6-7, gusting to level 9; moving west-northwest at a speed of about 15km/h.
To proactively respond to tropical depressions, the National Civil Defense Steering Committee recommends that provinces and cities closely monitor warnings, forecasts and developments of tropical depressions; notify captains and owners of vehicles and boats anchored at ports or operating at sea to proactively prevent and have appropriate production plans, ensure safety of people and property; maintain communication to promptly handle possible bad situations.
Prepare forces and means to deploy rescue work when situations arise. The agency seriously and regularly reports to the National Civil Defense Steering Committee (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment).
15 provinces and cities receiving the notice include: Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Hue City, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong.
