In early June, on the road connecting Lang Giang bridge with Provincial Road 161, according to Lao Dong reporters, vehicles can now comfortably travel on this connecting section after all households agreed to hand over the site to the contractor for asphalt paving.
These days, the contractor is in the process of implementing some final items of the landscape, planting trees along both sides of the road.

However, according to people's feedback, although this connecting road has not been handed over, the asphalt road surface has begun to sink and crack.
Ms. Vi Thi Mai (residing in Muc village, Thai Nien commune, Bao Thang district) said: "The road connecting Lang Giang bridge has been completed for a while, people on both sides of the Red River can now travel conveniently. But I don't know why there have been many cracks along the road recently."

Similarly, Mr. Ly Van Minh (residing in Muc village, Thai Nien commune, Bao Thang district) said that local people have agreed to hand over the site to the construction unit. Currently, the main road is completed, and some items for trees are still being worked on.
Only for reporters the cracks appearing on the road connecting the Giang village bridge with provincial road 161, Mr. Ly Van Minh wondered: "The road is also new plastic carpet, and has not been handed over but has begun to be damaged like that. At the cracks, I see the construction unit has been shown, cut out to prepare for repair. It is not known whether this problem has affected the entire quality of the road back in the long run."

It is known that the Lang Giang bridge project is invested by the Lao Cai Department of Transport and Construction, with a total cost of 258 billion VND.
The bridge construction unit is Quyet Tien Construction Investment Corporation. This bridge connects the two banks of the Red River between Xuan Tang ward (Lao Cai city) and Thai Nien commune (Bao Thang district), Provincial Road 161 and National Highway 70. In 2022, this bridge was officially closed and is now in use.

Although the bridge has been completed for a long time, the approach road to Lang Giang bridge will be invested in construction and reopened with a length of more than 1.2 km, worth 55.6 billion VND, and will not be completed until early 2025.
According to research, the approach road is an adjusted and supplemented item of the Lang Giang bridge project.

In January 2025, after many times the government actively promoted and mobilized, the remaining 3 households agreed to move assets, trees, and crops out of the land acquisition area so that the construction unit could complete these connecting road items.
