On September 13, according to Lao Dong's source, Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee has just issued a document on strengthening solutions to prevent profiteering, ensuring the progress of compensation, support, and resettlement for the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line construction investment project.
The document of the Provincial People's Committee cited the report of the Provincial Police and the initial monitoring results.
Accordingly, in some areas expected to recover land, signs of transactions, land collection; repairing, expanding works or creating assets on land have appeared.
To proactively prevent, promptly detect, prevent and handle violations of the law, Phu Tho leaders requested the Provincial Police to continue to grasp the situation, detect and prevent fraudulent acts, taking advantage of projects for profit, and ensure security and order in the process of land inventory and recovery.
People's Committees of communes and wards with projects passing through must review, statistically analyze, and classify the current status of land use; determine the origin, type of land, land users and assets attached to land.
Localities with railways running through are required by the province to strictly control land changes, especially land plot separation, transfer, change of land use purpose and creation of assets on land.
The current status of each land plot is recorded in minutes, images and data confirming the time and location for inspection and comparison.
The Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project has a total length of about 426km, including 363km of main lines and 63km of branch lines, passing through 69 communes and wards in 6 provinces and cities, with 29 stations and technical operation stations.
The project is expected to use about 2,197 hectares of land, with 7,347 households subject to resettlement arrangement.
It is expected that 109 resettlement areas will be built, with a total cost of compensation, support and resettlement of more than 66,900 billion VND.
In 2026 alone, the total capital allocated for this work is more than 13,800 billion VND. Phu Tho was allocated 2,000 billion VND and has disbursed 18.951 billion VND so far.
The project will pass through 5 wards and 15 communes of Phu Tho province, with a total length of 99.1km, from Dan Thuong commune to Phuc Yen ward.
In Phu Tho province, 7 stations are arranged, including 5 mixed stations serving both passengers and goods, and a technical operation station, Thanh Ba station (Quang Yen commune).
