At noon on September 29, rescue forces of Ta Van commune (Lao Cai province) found 2 tourists at the 2,200m rest stop (Fansipan mountain climbing route) about 3km of forest road.
Previously, at around 7:00 p.m. on September 28, the People's Committee of Ta Van commune received a report from the Ta Van commune police about two German tourists getting lost in the Hoang Lien National Park forest area.
Immediately after receiving the information, the People's Committee of Ta Van commune mobilized police and military forces to coordinate with the Hoang Lien National Park Forest Protection Department in the search.

Due to the impact of storm No. 10 (Bualoi) with complex weather and prolonged heavy rain, the forces have fully prepared tools and means, and developed specific plans to ensure the safety of the rescue forces.
The People's Committee of Ta Van commune mobilized 7 police officers, militia and 5 local citizens who were proficient in the area and were able to use positioning devices and communicate in English to participate in the search.
After being found, the rescue team provided emergency assistance to ensure the safety of the two foreign tourists.
According to Mr. Do Quang Huy, when he received a message from 2 tourists saying they were lost in the forest, he instructed them to stay in their original location, not move and reported to the authorities to organize search and rescue.
