Meaning of the Three Rice Grains symbol
Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Quoc Thanh analyzed: Three grains of rice want to talk about the 3 most important stages of each growth cycle: milk-soaked grains, golden ripe rice grains and germination grains.
The rice grains above are milking milk, absorbing the "spirit" of heaven and earth, symbolizing the most quintessential stage of birth. The rice grains in the middle have ripened golden brown, speaking of the rewarded fruits of farmers' hard work, yellow is not only the color for fullness but also an expression of achievement. The third grain is sprouting green, starting a new growth cycle, symbolizing the future, the strong vitality, the continuous regeneration ability of rice, of agriculture, or broadly speaking, the vitality of the Vietnamese nation.

The three grains of rice form a unified block, closely linked, relying on each other to rise and develop. The sprouts together with the Three Grains of Rice are connected into an arc, looking like white storks, a close and familiar image associated with Vietnamese rural villages; a symbol of simplicity, nobility, diligence, gentleness, and hard-working sacrifice of farmers.

The three grains of rice also show the three main ethnic groups that built the wet rice culture in the Nine Dragon land and in Ca Mau - Bac Lieu, which are Kinh, Hoa, Khmer.
Meaning of numbers
Regarding the meaning of the numbers, Mr. Thanh said: The total height of the project reaches 24m (2+4=6, which is the fortune number), of which the part of 3 rice grains is 18m high (1+8=9, representing 9 dragons, longevity), creating a strong visual highlight in space.
Using a CFT steel column system combined with Cobeam steel girders filled with concrete inside. This technology helps optimize load-bearing capacity, allowing a more streamlined structure compared to traditional reinforced concrete without losing durability. The building shell is made from fiberglass panels. This is a suitable choice to reduce overall weight, has high hardness and insulation, and is well adapted to harsh climates.

The project to build a symbol honoring rice cultivation in Ca Mau province is a very important cultural project, aimed at realizing the action program to implement Resolution 80 of the Politburo on the development of Vietnamese culture.
Mr. Thanh said that rural areas are the last citadel to preserve and protect traditional cultural values, and that rural area is gradually shrinking due to the erosion of the urbanization process if there is no reasonable planning calculation.

Not finished to admire
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thanh said that the upcoming orientation after the Three Rice Grains symbol is completed will be to display OCOP products, delicious rice, souvenirs, display some old agricultural tools, paintings, and photos with themes about farmers, rice plants and natural landscapes.
Therefore, we hope that the three grains of rice symbol will satisfy all beliefs about the origin, a place that gathers activities for cultural values to develop... Especially when it is placed in a prime location in Vinh Loi commune, adjacent to National Highway 1A, in one of the earliest villages formed from the reclamation period to grow rice and it has stabilized the rice farming profession until now despite the changes of the times.

Also from this prime location, satellite cultural projects will be developed. If the Ca Mau Provincial Rice Museum located in Bac Lieu ward is a "static" center, then the Three Rice Grains symbol is a "dynamic" center, an experience place. We are planning to build satellites of the Three Rice Grains Symbol center, which is the "Heritage Road", it will help connect with cultural and tourism sites in three communes Chau Thoi, Vinh Loi, Hung Hoi with cultural and tourism products belonging to Bac Lieu ward, Hoa Binh commune, Hung Thanh commune, Hiep Thanh ward... forming a continuous and attractive tourist route.
To create a vivid visual aspect as mentioned, we are aiming for a plan to build and recreate a village and rice field dating back more than 100 years, called an agricultural tourism experience area facing the Three Rice Grains symbol and there is a river, a very beautiful field, very convenient in terms of terrain.
Our ambition is that the village will recreate a landscape of wet rice life, the life of people growing wet rice, with fishing and nets, with "ho van cay" chants, with buffaloes pulling carts, trampling straw, in the middle of the moonlit night...", Mr. Thanh shared.
