At the conference, Mr. Duong Duc Huy - Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee informed about the pruning of trees on central streets assigned to Yen Bai ward and Yen Bai Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company.
The plan of Yen Bai ward is that the trees will be too tilted and then cut across to let the spring bloom, creating new canopy.
After the pilot on Yen Ninh Street, many large trees here were pruning bare, leaving only the trunk and base of the tree. Seeing the lost green space, many people could not help but feel regretful.
"I went to check directly and saw that many trees were cut " painfully", each tree had a unique base. When asked by Yen Bai ward, they replied that they wanted to cut it like that so that the trees could bloom in the future, creating new, even canopy.
However, each tree has different growth characteristics, lentil trees are different from milk flowers and royal poinciana trees, so the application of mechanical mechanics is unreasonable. Yen Bai Ward has learned from experience and adjusted the pruning on Nguyen Thai Hoc, Hoang Hoa Tham streets...", said the Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee.
Mr. Duong Duc Huy also shared: At first, Yen Bai ward proposed a plan for how many degrees the trees should be tilted to be cut and how far should they be cut, and how much should be cut from the ground. They hope that after the trees bloom, they will be as good as the big ones, the small ones and many different types on a street.
After Lao Dong Newspaper reported, Yen Bai Ward has directed Yen Bai Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company to adjust and study specifically how each type of tree will be pruning to ensure aesthetics".
On the side of Yen Bai Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company, the company was assigned to manage and care for 12,900 trees in 4 central wards of Lao Cai province.
The pruning of trees is necessary and according to the direction of the People's Committees of the wards. The implementation process also recorded disagreements from the people.
"We have learned from experience and will choose how to cut to ensure the technique and requirements, as well as preserve the landscape.
In particular, pruning through trees with few branches, not too high, fruit trees; also cutting and lowering the height of large banyan trees, big branches, leaning onto the road...", informed a representative of Yen Bai Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company.
