Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 81/2024/QD-UBND stipulating standards and maximum quotas for the use of cars for general work of agencies, organizations, units and localities under the management of the province. The Decision takes effect from January 1, 2025.
This Decision stipulates the standards and maximum norms for the use of cars for general work of the Provincial Party Committee Office, the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council, the Office of the Provincial People's Committee; provincial departments, branches, sectors and equivalents, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, provincial socio-political organizations; public service units under the Provincial People's Committee; People's Committees of districts, Long Khanh city and Bien Hoa city (hereinafter referred to as agencies, organizations, units, localities) under the management of Dong Nai province.
The total number of cars is 247. At the district level, Tan Phu and Xuan Loc are allocated 8 cars for general work.

Regarding the method of managing cars for public service, the province stipulates as follows:
For provincial agencies, organizations, and units; public service units under the Provincial People's Committee: The management of cars for general work is carried out directly.
For the People's Committees of districts, Long Khanh city and Bien Hoa city, based on the actual situation of the locality (after consulting with relevant agencies according to the Working Regulations of the District Party Committee and City Party Committee), decide on the method of managing cars for general work as prescribed in Clause 2, Article 12 of Decree No. 72/2023/ND-CP of the Government.
Dong Nai province stipulates that the usage rate of cars for general work is stable every 5-year cycle, period 2024 - 2028.
After each stabilization cycle, the Provincial People's Committee shall re-determine the standards and norms for using cars for general work of agencies, organizations and units under its management according to the number of employees and other criteria as prescribed.
Adjusting standards and norms for using cars for general work in a stable cycle only applies in case of changes in the organizational structure of units under or directly under provincial departments, branches, sectors and equivalents and administrative units under the People's Committees of districts, Long Khanh city and Bien Hoa city.
