The Ministry of Public Security has just announced the conversion of the electronic information page providing public services, changing driving licenses. Accordingly, from today (March 26), the Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) officially operates a new public service information page at the above address.
From March 26 to March 31, 2025, when people access the public service page of the Vietnam Road Administration, the system will automatically navigate to the public service page of the Ministry of Public Security.
The Ministry of Public Security said that currently, the functional units under the Ministry have improved their capacity to process documents, from 3,000 to 10,000 documents for granting and changing driving licenses per day.
The Traffic Police Department recommends that people should issue and change driving licenses online to reduce travel time and help procedures be resolved more quickly.
According to the Law on Road Traffic Safety, if the driving license has been integrated into an electronic identification account, the presentation and inspection can be done through this account.
Therefore, traffic participants can present their driving licenses through the VNeID application in accordance with the provisions of law. At the same time, transportation businesses are also recommended to manage drivers through electronic driving licenses, not necessarily requiring a copy of the document.
During the patrol and control process, the traffic police will prioritize looking up driver's license data on specialized software.
