Images recorded show the McLaren Artura with a striking orange color parked next to the red Ferrari F8 Spider convertible. These are all supercar models with very limited quantities in the Vietnamese market.
Launched in 2022, the McLaren Artura is the third plug-in hybrid supercar in the company's electrified car portfolio, after the McLaren P1 and McLaren Speedtail. At the same time, this is also McLaren's first model to use a completely new V6 engine.
The Artura appears in the image of a coupe variant, instead of the Spider convertible version. The car owns an Alcantara suede interior, combined with orange decorative details synchronized with the exterior, creating a typical sporty overall style.
The name Artura was formed from the combination of two elements "Art" (art) and "Future" (future), reflecting the new design direction of McLaren Automotive. This model is also the first product to use the MCLA carbon fiber chassis platform (McLaren Carbon Lightweight Architecture), helping to optimize weight and increase stability for the body.
The McLaren Artura is equipped with a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 engine combined with an electric motor, producing a total power of 671 horsepower and a maximum torque of 720 Nm. Of which, the gasoline engine contributes 577 horsepower, and the electric motor adds 95 horsepower.
The lithium-ion battery pack with a capacity of 7.4 kWh allows the car to travel a maximum of about 31 km in pure electric mode. Full battery charge time is about 2.5 hours. Thanks to the use of many lightweight materials, Artura is only about 46 kg heavier than the McLaren 570S model despite being equipped with an additional hybrid system.
Meanwhile, the Ferrari F8 Spider is a convertible version of the F8 Tributo line. The highlight of this model is the hardtop that can be opened or closed with just a button in the cabin. The opening/closing process takes about 14 seconds and can be performed when the car moves at speeds below 50 km/h.
The Ferrari F8 Spider uses a 3.9L twin-turbo V8 engine, producing 710 horsepower and a maximum torque of 770 Nm. This supercar is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in about 2.9 seconds before reaching a top speed of 340 km/h.
