Porsche has introduced an upgraded version of the Taycan electric car in Vietnam, with a series of improvements in performance and technology. Notable changes include a more powerful engine, shorter acceleration and charging times, and refined design in both the exterior and interior equipment.
The new Taycan comes in two main variants: the Taycan sports sedan and the Taycan Cross Turismo. The front and rear bumpers, headlights and taillights have been tweaked, with the optional Matrix HD LED headlights providing even better illumination. The Porsche badge on the rear of the car has also been redesigned with a three-dimensional effect.
The electric motor on the new Taycan has been increased by 80 kW compared to the previous generation, helping to improve operating efficiency.
The Taycan Turbo S can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.4 seconds, 0.4 seconds faster than the previous version. The "Push-to-Pass" feature in the Sport Chrono package provides an additional 70 kW of power for 10 seconds, helping the car accelerate better in necessary situations.
The Taycan’s charging times have also been shortened, with the ability to charge at 800V DC stations with a power output of up to 320 kW, 50 kW more than before. The vehicle’s range has been increased to 678 km according to the WLTP standard, an increase of 35% compared to its predecessor.
In addition, the new Taycan models are equipped with adaptive air suspension and the optional Porsche Active Ride chassis control system, which provides even better handling in a wide range of conditions. Improvements to the instrument panel and displays also enhance the driving experience.
