From the beginning of May 2026, Road Traffic Police Team No. 4 under the Traffic Police Department of Gia Lai Provincial Police has deployed the installation of simulated images of traffic police officers speeding in some areas at high risk of violations and traffic accidents in Binh Dinh and An Nhon wards.
At the Nguyen Thi Minh Khai - Can Vuong intersection (Binh Dinh ward), the image is printed on 2 sides, placed at the intersection corner, helping traffic participants easily observe when moving through the area.
On Le Duan street, the section passing Ba Canh Park in Ba Canh residential group (An Nhon ward), the traffic police force also arranged a similar model to remind people to reduce speed and pay attention to observation.
From the initial effectiveness, Road Traffic Police Team No. 4 has placed 4 more similar frames, expected to be installed at locations with potential traffic unsafety risks on national highways and provincial roads through Tuy Phuoc area.
Mr. Nguyen Ha Dong (born in 1995, residing in An Nhon ward) shared that the Ba Canh Park area is inherently deserted, many people often move at high speeds. The two ends of the park also have intersections with Do Doc Long street, and some serious accidents have occurred.
According to Mr. Dong, since having propaganda images, people passing through the area have proactively reduced speed and better complied with regulations. "This approach helps traffic participants become more aware and travel more safely," he said.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hong Vang - Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department of Gia Lai Provincial Police - said that at points where violations often occur, the traffic police force combines visual propaganda and arranges checkpoints, strictly handling violations, especially speed and alcohol concentration violations.
According to Senior Lieutenant Colonel Vang, this measure helps increase deterrence effectiveness, raise awareness of traffic law compliance, and contribute to reducing violations and accidents in the area.
Statistics show that from December 15, 2025 to May 8, 2026, Gia Lai province recorded 272 traffic accidents, killing 202 people, injuring 120 people, and causing property damage of more than 2.6 billion VND.
Compared to the same period in 2025, traffic accidents decreased in all 3 criteria, a decrease of 48 cases (15%), a decrease of 25 deaths (11.01%) and a decrease of 94 injuries (43.93%).
