According to records, among the participating cars were two gray and green Porsche 911 sports cars, and a Ferrari 296 GTS convertible supercar.
Ferrari 296 GTS is a high-performance model using hybrid technology, belonging to Ferrari's second plug-in hybrid line after SF90 Stradale. This model has been brought to the country by some Vietnamese businessmen with many different color options such as yellow, matte red or gray.
The car is equipped with a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 engine, producing 654 horsepower, combined with a 165 horsepower electric motor, for a total system power of 819 horsepower. The 7.45 kWh lithium-ion battery system allows the car to travel purely electrically about 25 km, contributing to reducing emissions.
In terms of performance, the Ferrari 296 GTS can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in about 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of over 330 km/h. The car uses a hard folding roof that can be closed or opened in about 14 seconds with just a click of a button; when lowered, the roof is neatly folded behind the cockpit.
In addition, two Porsche 911s of the 992 generation also attracted attention. The Porsche 911 Carrera S (992.1) version is equipped with a 3.0L horizontal 6-cylinder engine with twin turbocharger, producing a maximum power of 455 horsepower, 75 horsepower higher than the standard Carrera version. The car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in about 3.7 seconds and reaching a maximum speed of 308 km/h.
The 992 generation Porsche 911 was first introduced at the Porsche Experience Center in Los Angeles in November 2018. This model uses a gear-tooth steering system, combined with MacPherson front suspension and multi-link rear suspension. The rear wheel arch design is extended, details that previously only appeared on high-performance versions.
In the standard Carrera version, the Porsche 911 992 uses a 3.0L horizontal 6-cylinder engine with twin turbocharger, producing 385 horsepower, higher than the 370 horsepower of the previous 991 generation.
The appearance of high-performance car models such as Ferrari 296 GTS and Porsche 911 at the meeting shows that the sports car and supercar community in Ho Chi Minh City is increasingly vibrant, with many new car models continuously brought to Vietnam in recent years.
