On April 23, Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco) said that the April 30 and May 1 holidays this year will last 5 days due to the weekend, so people will need to return home to visit relatives or go on a long vacation. Transerco forecasts that the traffic volume at the Corporation's bus stations before and after the holiday (from April 30 to May 4) will increase by about 1.5 to 2 times compared to weekends.
In order to meet and best serve the travel needs of people before, during and after the April 30 and 1.5 holidays this year, Transerco will maintain an current driving chart on the entire network throughout the holiday.
During peak days (April 30, May 1 and May 4), units under the Corporation will prepare human resources and means to increase service and release passengers at bus stations and transit stations as required by State management agencies.
Transerco also informed that before and after the holiday (afternoon of April 30, morning of May 1 and May 4), the number of passengers increased sharply at bus routes with end points or routes connecting major bus stations such as Giap Bat, My Dinh, Gia Lam, Nuoc Ngam, Yen Nghia... and transit stations such as Long Bien, Cau Giay, Nhon... ( typical routes: 01, 03, 06, 11, 15, 16, 17, 20A, 32, 92, 101, 103 ...).
During the holiday (April 30 to March 3), the number of passengers will mainly be concentrated on routes connecting entertainment areas and shopping centers such as Thu Le Park, Thong Nhat, Water Park, Aeon Mall Long Bien, Ha Dong, Royal City, Times City...
To ensure passenger service during the holiday, Transerco also requires its affiliated units to organize operations and assign duty agencies to increase passenger clearance at assigned locations; be proactive in the operation of bus routes, ensure stable route flow and service targets for customers.
At the same time, decorate the headquarters, strengthen patrols, protection... especially do a good job of fire prevention and fighting on the route as well as at the unit, ensure political security, social order and safety, traffic safety, maintain production to provide good services to serve the people during the holidays.
