Tips for saving gas when riding a motorbike

Fuel prices fluctuate a lot, causing people to pay more attention to how to use motorbikes to save fuel and help reduce living costs.

In the context of fluctuating fuel costs, using fuel-efficient motorbikes has become a concern for many people. Besides technological improvements on new car lines, driving habits and vehicle maintenance also significantly affect fuel consumption.

Maintain stable speed when moving

According to the recommendations for using motorbikes, most vehicles achieve optimal fuel consumption when operating at a speed range of about 40 - 60 km/h. Maintaining a stable speed helps the engine operate efficiently and reduce gasoline consumption.

Drivers should limit sudden acceleration and deceleration. When driving at high speed and then braking suddenly, the engine will need more fuel to accelerate again. In addition, continuous acceleration and deceleration can prevent fuel from burning out, increasing gasoline consumption.

In addition, do not overload because when the weight is large, the engine must operate at a higher capacity, leading to more fuel consumption. Another habit to avoid is stepping on and stopping the car, because this not only drains gas but also causes parts such as kickstands and clutch nozzles to wear out quickly.

Pay attention to car maintenance and reasonable use

Before operating the car in the morning or after a long time of not using it, the driver should start the car for about 1-2 minutes so that the oil is pumped evenly into the engine, helping the details to be lubricated and the fuel burn more effectively.

Tire pressure is also a factor that needs to be checked regularly. Fade tires will increase the area of contact with the road surface, causing the engine to operate more to pull the car, thereby consuming more fuel.

In addition, for vehicles not equipped with temporary engine shutdown systems, drivers should proactively turn off the engine when stopping at a red light for more than 30 seconds to reduce fuel consumption and limit emissions.

Periodic car maintenance also helps the engine operate stably. Users should replace engine oil about 1,500 - 2,000 km/time and check technical parts to promptly detect and fix errors that may increase fuel consumption.
