Information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of the Ministry of Public Security said that recently, from people's feedback sent to the fanpage of the Traffic Police Department of Bac Ninh Provincial Police, functional forces discovered and handled a case of using fake license plates to participate in traffic.
According to reports, a car with license plate 98A-626. xx has characteristics that do not match the registered vehicle. Through searching vehicle registration data, the Traffic Police Department of Bac Ninh Provincial Police determined that license plate 98A-626. xx was issued to a black Ford Everest car.
However, the car appearing in the reflection is a white VinFast VF7 car, showing signs of using a fake license plate.
Conducting verification, on July 1, at Km77+400 National Highway 17, traffic police forces discovered and stopped to inspect a VinFast VF7 with license plate 98A-626. xx.
Working with the police agency, the driver, Mr. V.V.X (residing in Yen Dung ward, Bac Ninh province), confessed that he bought the old car but had not carried out the name transfer procedures. To circulate, this person ordered license plates online and then attached them to the vehicle.
Based on the verification results, the traffic police force made a record for the driver for two violations including: bringing a vehicle with a license plate not issued by a competent authority to participate in traffic and driving a vehicle without a vehicle registration certificate.
According to current regulations, the total penalty for the above two acts is up to 44 million VND. In addition, violators will have their driver's licenses deducted 10 points and fake license plates confiscated.
