A second-generation Porsche Boxster (code 987.1) has just been recorded appearing on the street, attracting the attention of domestic car enthusiasts.

The Boxster 987 line is quite rare in Vietnam today, especially when this model has an advanced license plate - a factor that is often of interest to the car collection community.

According to research information, this Boxster has been known in the car business for many years thanks to its beautiful license plate and unique quality.

At present, the exterior of the car has been changed compared to the original. The paint color has been changed to white, combined with many black details, while the front bumper has been upgraded with two secondary LED lights.

The Porsche Boxster 987.1 in Vietnam mainly comes in two engine configurations. The standard version uses a 2.7L flat-six 6-cylinder engine for 237 horsepower. By 2007, the capacity was increased to 242 horsepower. The Boxster S version is equipped with a 3.2L engine for 276 horsepower, then upgraded to 3.4L and 295 horsepower.

Combined with an automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, the Porsche Boxster 987.1 is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in about 7 seconds, before reaching a maximum speed of 251 km/h.

The return of a Boxster 987.1 on the street is considered notable in the context of the increasingly rare number of sports convertible cars of this generation in Vietnam.
