According to the list published by the police of some provinces, many vehicle owners have been fined for crossing the line and going in the wrong direction.

On October 13, the Traffic Police Department, Lam Dong Provincial Police, said that from August 16 to September 20, 2025, the police will impose fines on vehicles violating the reverse direction as follows:

Previously, Thanh Hoa Police also publicly announced the list of vehicles that were fined from September 1, 2025 to September 10, 2025. Among these, there are car owners who violate the line tying violation as follows:

According to Decree 168/2024/ND-CP, car drivers will be fined VND400,000-600,000 for not complying with the commands and instructions of traffic signs and road markings.

Fines of VND 600,000 - 800,000 for drivers who violate the law by changing lanes in the wrong places or without warning signals or changing lanes incorrectly according to the regulation "each lane change is only allowed to change to one adjacent lane".

Drivers of cars turning left at a place with a sign prohibiting turn will be fined from VND 2,000,000 to VND 3,000,000.

Drivers of cars going in the wrong direction can be fined from 18 million VND to 20 million VND.

If the car driver drives the wrong way and causes a traffic accident, he/she will be fined 20-22 million VND and have 10 points deducted from his/her driving license. With the above penalty, drivers need to pay close attention to the mistake of driving in the wrong lane and not complying with signs and road markings.

When paying the fine, the car driver must prepare the following documents: Vehicle registration, certificate of technical safety inspection and environmental protection, driver's license of the violator, citizen identification card of the violator (photocopy 1 copy of each type of document).
