The police of some provinces have just announced a list of fines. In particular, many vehicle owners were fined for running red lights.

Thai Binh Police said that from June 4 to June 11, the police fined 7 cases of running red lights as follows:

An Giang Police said that from June 1, 2025 to June 10, 2025, the police will fine vehicles that run red lights. These vehicles were fined at the following locations: Tran Hung Dao - Ly Thai To intersection, My Long ward, Long Xuyen city, An Giang province.

The police noted that from January 1, 2025, the Law on Road Traffic Safety and Order, Decree 168/2024/ND-CP stipulate administrative sanctions for violations of road traffic safety and order; deduction of points, restoration of driving license points in effect.

Accordingly, some violations of road traffic safety order have increased fines compared to before, such as drivers running red lights being fined 18-20 million VND (old level was 4-6 million VND). Motorbikes are fined from 4 to 6 million VND.

In order to effectively implement the newly issued laws, the traffic police forces of localities are actively implementing many synchronous measures, with the motto of focusing on both propaganda and strict handling.

The main goal of sharply increasing the fine according to Decree 168/2024/ND-CP is to raise awareness of compliance with traffic laws, thereby contributing to reducing accidents, congestion...

The police requested violators to go to the police headquarters where the fine was detected or to the police station where they resided to resolve the violation according to regulations.

The police recommend that people continue to raise awareness of voluntarily complying with traffic laws, for their own safety and that of others.
