Accordingly, some violations of road traffic safety order have increased fines compared to before, such as motorbike drivers running red lights being fined from 4-6 million VND (the old fine was 800,000 VND to 1 million VND).
To pay the fine, people can go to the police station where the fine was discovered or go to the police station to resolve the violation according to regulations.
However, according to the new recommendation of the People's Traffic Police Department, people should go to the headquarters of the traffic police department where they have permanent residence to handle, not go to the place where violations are detected in another locality for handling, which is both overloaded for the authorities and requires long trips.
When coming to handle the fine, the violator needs to prepare some documents. For cars: Vehicle registration, certificate of technical safety inspection and environmental protection, driver's license of the violator, citizen identification card of the violator (photocopy 1 copy of each type of document).
