The Traffic Police Department, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police announced that vehicles violating traffic laws will be fined from March 21, 2025 to March 31, 2025. Among these, many motorbikes were fined for running red lights as follows:

The police note that from January 1, 2025, the Law on Road Traffic Safety and Order, Decree 168/2024/ND-CP stipulate administrative sanctions for violations of road traffic safety and order; deduction of points, restoration of driving license points take effect.
Accordingly, some violations of road traffic safety order have increased fines compared to before, such as for motorbike and motorbike drivers who run red lights and are fined 4-6 million VND (the old fine was 800,000 VND to 1 million VND).
Decree 168/2024/ND-CP stipulates that drivers of motorbikes, mopeds, motorbike-like vehicles and motorbike-like vehicles will be fined 200,000 VND - 400,000 VND for not complying with the commands and instructions of signs and road markings.
The police requested violators to go to the police headquarters where the fine was detected or to the police station where they resided to resolve the violation according to regulations.
When paying the fine, motorbike drivers need to prepare the following documents: vehicle registration, driver's license of the violator, citizen identification card of the violator (photocopy 1 copy of each type of document).
The police recommend that people raise awareness of voluntarily complying with traffic laws for their own safety and that of others.
