After some Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS cars were delivered to domestic customers, the appearance of the 718 Spyder RS continued to attract the attention of car enthusiasts.
The Porsche 718 Spyder RS appearing in Vietnam has a gray exterior. Some sources say that another car of the same version may be brought in in the near future. In the first weeks of 2026, the domestic sports car market continuously welcomed many high-performance models, including the Porsche 911 GT3 RS generation 992.1, showing the stable attraction of the luxury sports car segment.
In essence, the Porsche 718 Spyder RS can be considered a convertible version of the 718 Cayman GT4 RS. This model uses a naturally aspirated 6-cylinder boxer engine, with a capacity of 4.0L - a type of engine currently equipped on the Porsche 911 GT3. This engine block is capable of reaching a maximum torque of up to 9,000 rpm, bringing the characteristic sound and driving experience of pure sports cars.
The engine on the Porsche 718 Spyder RS produces a maximum power of 493 horsepower and a maximum torque of 449 Nm, 79 horsepower stronger than the standard 718 Spyder version. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission. According to the manufacturer's announcement, this two-seater roadster has the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 3.2 seconds.
In terms of design, the front of the Porsche 718 Spyder RS car has many similarities with the 718 Cayman GT4 RS. The hood is made of reinforced polymer carbon fiber (CFRP) material, integrated with a large vent to optimize cooling ability. Two NACA air vents support cooling the brake system without increasing air resistance, while aerodynamic details on the front bumper help increase pressure on the road surface.
