It is known that the world-famous car company - Stellantis will recall some Jeep Wrangler models from 2020 to 2024 and Jeep Grand Cherok models from 2022 to 2024. Stellantis representatives said the potential fire risk is related to a component in the battery. The fires occurred when the hybrid cars were parked and the engines were turned off.

Stellantis estimates that about 5 percent of the affected hybrids may have this problem. It also notes that the risk of fire decreases as the battery is depleted, and recommends that owners not recharge their vehicles and park them away from structures or other vehicles. It says a fix is coming soon.
