On the evening of March 10, the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police said that the Tan Son Nhat Traffic Police Team had made a record to fine a car driver for arbitrarily installing additional headlights on both sides of the car body.
Previously, at the end of February 2026, a video appeared on social networks recording images of a car with license plate 50E-677. XX traveling on Xuan Hong street, then turning to Truong Chinh street in the direction of the Bay Hien intersection area (HCMC) at about 8 pm.

According to images in the clip, this vehicle is fitted with two additional lights on both sides of the body, below the rearview mirrors. The light emitted from these lights affects the visibility of other vehicles traveling on the road.
Immediately after receiving the reflected information, the Tan Son Nhat Traffic Police Team proceeded to verify and sent a notice inviting the vehicle owner to the headquarters to work.
Through working, functional agencies determined that Mr. T.V. H (born in 1970, residing in An Lac ward, Ho Chi Minh City) was the vehicle owner and also the driver at the time of the incident.
Tan Son Nhat Traffic Police Team made a record of administrative violation against Mr. T.V. H for the act of "installing additional lights on both sides of the vehicle". For this violation, the driver was fined 1.5 million VND and forced to remove the additional equipment installed improperly to restore the initial technical condition of the vehicle.
Mr. H admitted the violation, proactively removed the two lights installed on the side of the rearview mirror and committed not to re-offend.
