Previously, on June 16, 2025, the Domestic Market Management and Development Department coordinated with the Economic Police Department, Hanoi City Police to conduct an inspection of compliance with the law in business activities for Trung Hieu Electric Vehicle Business Store at 2 addresses (according to the old address, not yet merged):
No. 261 Hoang Quoc Viet, Nghia Tan, (Cau Giay, Hanoi) and Thach Da commune (Me Linh, Hanoi). Both businesses are owned by Mr. Le Van Kien (born in 1978).
The case was proposed by the City Police to coordinate in inspecting the situation of the sale of electric motorbikes not ensuring quality, counterfeit goods being complicated, posing many potential risks to consumers. This is also one of the main causes of fire prevention and fighting safety in major, serious fires in Hanoi in recent times.
As a result of the inspection, the inspection team discovered and temporarily detained over 50 NIJA brand electric motorbikes and a number of other brand vehicles with signs of suspected counterfeit goods (frame numbers, engine numbers).
Present at the scene, through preliminary identification, a representative of NIJA Vietnam Co., Ltd. confirmed that the number of motorbikes sold at Trung Hieu Electric Vehicle Business Line was not manufactured or distributed by the unit on the market.
Considering that the case had signs of criminal crimes, the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development transferred all relevant records and documents to the Investigation Police Agency, Hanoi City Police for further investigation and handling according to regulations.
It is known that the authorities have initiated a case, prosecuted the accused and temporarily detained 3 people related to the case to continue investigating and clarifying the violation.
