Many SYM gasoline motorbikes under 50cc have sharp discounts

Xuyên Đông |

In the context of consumers increasingly interested in electric vehicles, the line of gasoline motorbikes under 50 cc is being heavily discounted.

The 50cc car market is gradually narrowing

SYM is one of the motorbike brands that has been present in the Vietnamese market since very early, making its mark with compact scooters and manual transmission motorbikes, designed to suit young people. The company's 50cc under 50cc models were once highly appreciated for not requiring a driver's license, fuel economy and low cost. However, this segment is currently in a difficult position.

The main reason is the sharp decline in market demand. Young consumers are shifting to compact, fuel-free electric vehicles with low operating costs and environmental friendliness. Meanwhile, many 50cc gasoline cars of SYM are considered "aging" in terms of design and technology, no longer catching up with new trends.

In addition, the increasingly tightening emission control policy also greatly affects the purchasing power of gasoline motorbikes, especially the 50cc line, which is not strong in emission treatment technology.

Cheap electric vehicles that do not require a driver's license such as VinFast Evo or Dat bike Mini are strongly attracting students - a customer group that was once a strength of SYM.

Prices and specifications of some typical car models

Currently, SYM's 50cc motorbikes are being distributed by dealers with a discount of 2 to 4 million VND compared to the company's suggested price. Some typical examples include:

Priti 50 - a scooter model with a youthful design, a trunk up to 22.5 liters wide, a 49.5 cc 4-stroke engine, maximum capacity of 2.5 kW at 7,500 rpm. The suggested price is 26,700,000 VND, however, many dealers are selling it at around 24 million VND to get a license plate.

Passing 50 - a model that is popular with students thanks to its modern design, 49.5 cc engine, maximum capacity of 2.45 kW at 8,000 rpm, 7-liter storage compartment. Suggested price 24,200,000 VND, actual price is generally below 23 million VND.

Angela 50 - a manual transmission motorbike aimed at female students, compact design, easy to control, 49.5 cc engine, 1.9 kW capacity. Suggested price is 17,900,000 VND, many dealers sell below 17 million VND.

Attila 50 - a miniature version of the traditional Attila line, feminine design, 49.5 cc engine, power of 2.45 kW at 8,500 rpm. The suggested price is 26,200,000 VND, the actual selling price is about 24 million VND.

The Galaxy 50 - a sports manual transmission model for men, has two versions: rice paper and wheels, equipped with a 49.5 cc engine, 1.9 kW capacity. Suggested price 17,500,000 VND, currently for sale at about 16 million VND.
