The race for discount
Currently, the electric motorbike market in Vietnam is growing strongly thanks to policies to encourage the conversion to green vehicles. The launch of many models has caused electric motorbike prices to drop sharply due to increased competitiveness.
According to a survey by reporters, the current price of electric motorbikes at many dealers nationwide ranges from 16.9 million VND to more than 63 million VND - the price includes taxes, fees and license plates, significantly lower than the listed prices of the companies.
Notably, the VinFast brand, leading the Vietnamese electric motorbike market, is applying many promotional programs that make the actual price at the dealer significantly cheaper than the suggested price. Yadea models are also sold at lower prices, while Yamaha Neo's keep prices stable, reflecting the difference in each brand's strategy.
The main reason for the continuous decline in car prices is the increase in the number of competing designs and brands. In addition to big names such as VinFast, Yamaha, Yadea, the market has also welcomed many new brands such as Dat Bike, Honda ICON e: with products optimized in design, technology and cost. This diversity makes consumers have more options, but also puts pressure on car manufacturers in pricing products suitable for users' budgets.
Not only competing on price, companies also focus on upgrading technology, improving performance and optimizing user experience. Newly launched models all integrate LFP (Lithium Ferrous Phosphate) battery technology, smartphone connection capability, full-vehicle LED lighting system, and flood protection - elements that have only appeared in high-end electric vehicles - now popular in the popular segment.
Many attractive electric vehicle models have strong discounts
In the latest price list update at the end of June 2025, electric vehicles in many segments are being sold at attractive prices, notably vehicles from VinFast, Yadea, Dat Bike, Yamaha and Honda.
VinFast Feliz S is the most accessible model of the company with a neutral design, LFP battery and floodproof capability, suitable for urban conditions. The vehicle has a suggested price of 29.7 million VND, but the dealer has only wrapped the papers for 33.2 million VND.
VinFast Klara S2, a European-style car, uses a German engine and LFP battery for a range of 194 km/charge. The dealer price is 40.4 million VND, nearly equal to the suggested price.
VinFast Vento S, a high-end scooter model with the ability to travel 160 km/charge, has a 1,000W fast charger, with a dealer price of 55.7 million VND - not much different from the manufacturer's price.
VinFast Theon S, the most advanced car line with a capacity of 3,500W, maximum speed of nearly 100 km/h, is currently priced at 63.8 million VND - the highest in VinFast's electric car portfolio.
In the mid-range segment, Yadea Voltguard has 2 battery versions 72V26Ah and 72V38Ah with prices of 29.9 million VND and 31.5 million VND respectively. Modern design, stable performance help Voltguard score points with young users.
Yadea Odora, an Italian-style car with many colors, optional TTFAR battery for smooth operation experience. The Odora Pro version is currently priced at a dealer price of 24.7 million VND, lower than its competitors in the same segment.
Yadea S3 Pro, a powerful sports car line, with a dealer price of 26.2 million VND - is considered a competitive price compared to engine capacity and male design.
Dat Bike quantum S attracts attention when it can travel up to 285 km after one charge, integrating a series of technologies such as Hill Assist, Cruise Control. The selling price for the highest-end version of quantum S1 is 56.46 million VND.
Yamaha Neo's, an imported electric vehicle with a European style, maintains a stable price of 55.65 million VND. The vehicle is equipped with a 2300W rotary engine, maximum speed below 50 km/h, suitable for urban travel.
Honda ICON e: is a model of a vehicle aimed at students with a selling price of 32.5 million VND including documents. This car line uses a removable, IP67 waterproof Lithium-ion battery, designed to be friendly and easy to drive.
With declining prices and many incentives, the current time is considered a good opportunity for consumers to switch to green vehicles. However, before deciding to buy a vehicle, users should carefully refer to the warranty policy, charging time, battery life and operating costs to make the most suitable choice for personal needs.
