This is a message shared by the Japanese automaker at the 30th Anniversary Ceremony.
In recent years, the HEV market in Vietnam has been more vibrant as in addition to Toyota, there are other global brands such as Honda, Suzuki, Kia introducing Hyundai models to consumers. HEV vehicle sales by the end of August 2025 increased by 82% compared to the same period last year. In which, Toyota is still the leading brand with an account for 58% of the market share. As of September, more than 19,400 Toyota Hybrid Electric vehicles are rolling across the country.
At the 30th Anniversary Ceremony held at the end of September, Mr. Nakano Keita - General Director of Toyota Vietnam shared important information: "Toyota Vietnam will modernize the new headquarters and factory, and launch the first Hybrid Electric model production line, with a total investment of more than 360 million USD".

In the context of the trend of green mobility on the rise and increasing the localization rate of the automotive industry becoming a top priority, Toyota's decision received consensus from the Government, ministries and localities. This decision not only helps proactively increase supply, bringing HEV cars closer to customers but also contributes to improving professional qualifications for Vietnamese people, creating more jobs, stabilizing social security and increasing the localization rate of the automobile industry. Also at the event, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Truong Thanh Hoai shared: We hope Toyota will continue to increase the localization rate, contributing to the development of the domestic supporting industry ecosystem. Mr. Tran Duy Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Tho province, expressed his wish that Toyota will increase the localization rate and cooperate extensively with Vietnamese enterprises, forming a supporting industry ecosystem right in Phu Tho and the region.

On the same morning, Mr. Tien Quoc Hao, Chairman of Toyota Asia Company, and the working delegation visited and worked with Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc. Here, the Deputy Prime Minister affirmed: The Vietnamese Government always attaches importance to creating favorable conditions for Japanese enterprises, including Toyota, to operate stably and invest long-term in Vietnam.
This is an important decision in the development strategy of the Japanese automaker in Vietnam after a series of impressive achievements: Exceeding 1 million vehicles sold, 700,000 factory-made vehicles and 20 million vehicles using genuine services, accumulated export revenue of components and spare parts reached nearly 1 billion USD. The company representative affirmed: "We are committed to applying multidimensional access technologies to support everyone's travel needs, ensuring that no one is left behind."
